Kingsbridge and Salcombe Ukraine Aid set off on Sunday April 24 on their second run to the Ukraine border.

Founder Andrew Dyas is taking his son Liam along for the ride in a Luton van and his work colleague Tony is driving the other van. It is full of essential supplies that have been collected by local people.

The route they took this time was on a ferry from Dover to Dunkerque in France, on through Belgium, Germany and Poland.

Because they are driving vans they are not liable to the same speed restrictions they would have had and Andrew was looking forward to being able to put his foot down driving through Germany where there are no speed restrictions some autobahns.

We’ll bring you an update next week.
