Conservative candidate Rufus Gilbert has won the Salcombe division in the Devon County Council elections.

The full result was as follows:

GILBERT Rufus, The Conservative Party Candidate, 2,236 votes, 61.5per cent.

GREEN John, Green Party, 231, 6.4 per cent.

HUNTLEY Elizabeth Dawn, Liberal Democrat, 895 votes, 24.6 per cent.

TRIGGER David, Labour Party, 271 votes, 7.5 per cent.

There was a 40 per cent turnout and the total number of votes cast was 3,635.
