A man charged with causing death by driving has appeared before magistrates.

Adam James Bodinnar, 20, of Britannia Avenue, Dartmouth, appeared at South Devon Magistrates Court in Newton Abbot today, Wednesday, March 7, when he gave no plea to the four charges made against him.

He was accused of four charges: causing death by driving a vehicle without a driving licence or driving insurance; failing to stop after the road accident; failing to report and produce insurance; and causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving.

Bodinnar is accused of causing the death of Jamie Symons, who was 27 on September 27, 2017, when he was hit by a vehicle in Dartmouth on College Way.

The magistrates adjourned the case to Plymouth Crown Court on Monday, April 9, at 10am.

Bodinnar was granted unconditional bail.
