A HOMELESS man sailing along the south coast, who was towed into Dartmouth for his own safety, put out an SOS for his missing dog within hours of arriving in the port. And luckily – with a little help from the Dartmouth Chronicle – his four-legged, best friend Jess turned up safe and well. Big Issue seller turned sea adventurer Ralph Church was spotted around three miles off shore, rowing his dinghy as it started to get dark. Mr Church is attempting to fulfill a lifetime ambition to sail along the coast and is part way through his journey from Plymouth to Chichester.
