A South Hams man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.

Police from Kingsbridge issued a misuse of drugs act warrant at around 8.10am on Tuesday, August 6.

Supported by colleagues from Dartmouth and Totnes, they seized substances from the man’s property.

The 44-year-old, from Churchstow, was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He was taken into custody in Torquay for interview.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “A quantity of suspected heroin and cannabis resin was seized, along with suspected Subutex.

"The seized items will now be sent away for testing.”

This is the fourth successful drugs warrant executed by Kingsbridge police in the past five months.
