Petroc Division 1

Ashmoor Women's 1st XI. 1

Teign Women's 2nd XI. 1

THE final league match of the season produced an entertaining game which ended honours even.

There was no score in the first half, and then youngster Mary Moore gave Ashmoor the lead early in the second half. Teign equalised and although both teams had chances, no further goals were scored.

Amy Pilsbury was awarded the player of the match award. Attention now turns to the End of Season Celebration & Awards Evening where the ladies will be delighted with their fourth-placed finish after gaining promotion last season.

In the final men's league games, the Ashmoor Men's 2nd XI were beaten 5-1 at league champions Ocean City 1st XI. Captain Reuben Stanley claimed the goal and was pleased with his side's fourth place league finish after promotion last year.

Ashmoor 3rds were beaten 6-0 by Dart 1sts but acquitted themselves well with Player of the Match going to the evergreen Rik Fox.

However, the Men's 4th team were the stand-out side. They took an early lead through Kian Stevens and Nick Edmeades, but Exeter 5ths came back, and with eight minutes to go, Ashmoor were 3-2 behind.

In a fantastic finish to their season, Stevens equalised with his second goal, before Edmeades put the icing on the cake with the winning goal to secure a memorable 4-3 win!
