ASHMOOR found themselves 3-0 up by halftime courtesy of two goals from top scorer Tilly McEwen and another goal from Zoe Harris.
After the break, Ashmoor put in a great second-half team display. McEwen secured a hat-trick within minutes of the restart, Laura Colwill added two, and McEwen scored two more to take her tally to five in the game and earn the Player of the Match plaudits!
This Saturday, Ashmoor take on Dart W2s, looking to secure their top-3 standing.
South Division 2
Ashmoor Men's 2nd XI. 2
North Devon Men's 1st XI. 1
Ashmoor Men's 2nd team maintained their 3rd place in the division with a hard-earned win against a competitive North Devon M1s.
Dec Turner opened the scoring for Ashmoor, and Charles Walker secured the three points for Ashmoor with the second goal.
Player-coach Reuben Stanley was happy to have earned the win but felt that North Devon's goal did not make the victory as comfortable as it should have been.
This weekend, the Men's 2nd team have a mouth-watering game away to Plymouth Lions 2nd team, who have exactly the same points as Ashmoor so far.
In the other Ashmoor match the Men's 3rd team produced a much-improved performance, losing an even match 4-2 at Exeter & Culm Vale Hornets. Seth Turner was the supplier for brother Lewin's goal, and Ali Wood scored again for Ashmoor's other goal.
This weekend the 3rd team are at home to Isca, whilst the 4th team host Exeter 4s.
