A SECOND successive Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police fixture has been called off due to the typical winter weather.
The Bees, who currently sit third in the SW Peninsula League Premier East, haven’t taken to the field since their 3-2 home win over Ilminster Town in mid-November.
These weren’t just any two matches to fall foul of the conditions either, both were hugely intriguing clashes.
On Saturday 22, Stoke were set to welcome second-placed Bridport FC to Broadley Lane, a big game and a big day in general for the club as they were also scheduled to formally open the ground under its new name, the Sports Lighting Stadium.
Fast forward to this past weekend and Stoke had a visit to Adopstar Park in the calendar, the home of fourth-placed Cullompton Rangers, but the weather had other ideas once again.
Hopefully, their away game against mid-table Crediton United goes ahead as planned this Saturday.
