STOKE Gabriel & Torbay Police bounced back from their home defeat to Newton Abbot Spurs by winning two games in a week.

The Bees first dispatched Teignmouth AFC at their Coombe Valley base, the long-awaited maiden game under their new floodlights.

In a back-and-forth affair, goals from Sean Adderley and Dan Tate (2) helped Stoke to a 3-2 victory in Teignmouth on Wednesday, March 11.

Sam Biscoe’s side then travelled to Tiger Way where they edged out rock-bottom Axminster Town by two goals to one, Tate notching again and being joined on the scoresheet by Connor McAuley.

This pair of successes sets Stoke on a path to finish this SW Peninsula League Premier East campaign in the right way.

They are fourth in the division currently and have a major test coming up as they welcome title hopefuls and league leaders Bridport FC to Broadley Lane on Saturday, March 21.
