Twilight came early tonight...

It’s been 1999 since Devon saw anything remotely dramatic in the skies.

Admittedly the total eclipse of that year was spectacular but this evening’s partial eclipse proved just as jaw dropping.

As the moon slowly moved across the sun to cove 95 per cent of the its surface the evening brightness vanished and an eerie half-light existed early than normal.

Then, after a fleeting minute the light returned, and normality of a summer evening was restored.
