Two South Hams women have been shortlisted in a national competition for online writers.
The two are finalists in the food and travel categories respectively. Pippa writes as The Slimming Foodie, while Claire’s blog is called Tin Box Traveller.
Thousands of nominations were made across 11 categories for the awards organised by BritMums, which describes itself as a collective of lifestyle bloggers and social influencers.
Pippa and Claire’s work helps promote Devon as a destination for foodies, holiday-makers and culture-seekers.
Pip’s blog contains her recipes and culinary musings, which focus on enjoying food in a sustainable and healthy way rather than pursuing fad diets. She was named the UK’s top food blogger at the Mum and Dad Blog Awards in 2016.
Claire launched Tin Box Traveller in 2012 to share her experiences as a new mum who loved to travel. She now has two preschool children and is travelling more than ever, and writing about adventures in the South West, all over the UK and further afield.
