We would like to thank all of the businesses that kindly supported our bingo event on Friday, September 16, as well as everyone who turned up on the evening – we hope you all had a fun night, with possibly a winning shout.
Thanks also to Fred, who did the calling for us; Lynda, who as ever did a great job with the running – and a lot of running she had to do; Julie for helping out last minute in the kitchen and for clearing tables; and finally Hilary Bastone, who kindly paid for the hire of the Guildhall, thus allowing the fee paid by our leaders to go back into unit funds.
We raised £870, which will be split between Devon Air Ambulance and Rowcroft Hospice. We are hoping to be able to present these charities with their cheques in the coming weeks.
