Jan Henshall, of Wood Lane, Kingswear, writes: Regarding your story 'Residents fired up over noisy Dragon', about the noise from the George & Dragon pub, I was intrigued to read in your article Cllr Robin Springett's statement that 'he would be concerned about any unnecessary restriction placed on a business'. Is this the same Cllr Springett who, as chairman of the Town Council corporate property committee, authorised the erection of stalls in front of the businesses owned by tenants in the Old Market? In my own case – the Gem Shop – this recently causing me to cease trading. What has brought about this apparent change of heart? Where do his interests really lie? Has he seen the error of his ways, or is he just leading us on some crazy dance?
