I am a former resident of Dartmouth, and sadly, when I was at the Dartmouth park-and-ride recycling site recently, the site was utterly, utterly ­disgusting, the worst I have ever seen it. And added to the filth and squalor, some fly-­tipping had taken place.

I met a nice lady there – Maggie Baillie, who is the Townstal councillor. Bless her, she photographed it all and agreed with me that it has become a serious health ­hazard – and goodness knows how many rodents visit ­nightly.

She agreed to me writing to you, the Chronicle, again, and also agreed with me that this filthy and deplorable situation must be dealt with permanently now.
