A charity has sent out a plea for volunteers to keep its valuable service running.

Dartmouth Caring which helps the vulnerable and elderly in the town and surrounding area needs volunteer drivers.

The highly rewarding volunteer work is based on hours to suit each volunteer and pays 45 pence per mile.

It involves picking up and taking clients to medical and other health appointments across Dartmouth, Totnes and Torbay.

Training and guidance will be provided plus drivers have the chance to meet new and interesting people.

This work helps to reduce Dartmouth Caring’s clients isolation and enables them to access vital services.

There is also social events at least twice a year where you can meet volunteers.
