DARTMOUTH'S long-awaited new £2.1m indoor swimming pool has suffered a setback after South Hams Council changed the rules on funding the project at the 11th hour.

The news has come as a severe body blow to the trustees who have worked tirelessly on the project, which is now in danger of being wrecked.

The project has been on the brink of getting the green light for weeks but now, as things stand, a decision is unlikely before September and that puts a question mark over the future of the entire project.
