A house in Malborough was badly damaged last Thursday night (February 1).
Fire crews from Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Ivybridge, Totnes, Kingston and Buckfastleigh fought the blaze using breathing apparatus.
Crews began removed sections of the roof to expose hot spots in the loft space and condinued dousing the flames.

In the early hours of Friday the incident was handed over to Modbury until it was made safe.
Fire investigation resumed on Friday to establish the cause of the incident.
