How and where to dispose of your Christmas treeSt Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is hosting their annual Make-a-Will Week in locations all over the South Hams from May 14-18, where local solicitors will give their time free of charge to create or update wills in return for a donation to the charity.
St Luke’s Fundraising Manager, Nicola Keen said: “Our Make-a-Will Week is a great opportunity to put your affairs in order. What people often forget is that making a will is not just about sorting out the financial aspects. A will ensures your final wishes are clear. Your possessions and property are going to the right place, and the family and children you leave behind will be looked after.”
If you already have a will, it is also important to update it if you move houses, change your marital status or have children.
The companies taking part in ‘Make-a-Will Week’ include Portcullis Legals - who kindly provide this service all year round - , McClure Solicitors, Fursdon Knapper, GA Solicitors, Gard & Co, Howard & Over, Kitsons, Evans Harvey, Roper James, SWLaw, Start Point Law, Thompson & Jackson, WBW Solicitors and Woollcombe Yonge.
To take part in this service, contact one of the solicitors of your choice from the list above to make an appointment between May 14 and 18, making sure you quote, “St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth Make-a-Will Week”.
