National Trust Coleton Fishacre is proud to host the touring photographic exhibition Earth Photo 2026, from September 12 to October 21.

Created by the Royal Geographical Society, Parker Harris and Photoworks, Earth Photo brings together award-winning photographers and filmmakers from across the world, inviting them to create innovative and visual stories that encourage conservations about our world and the challenges it faces.

This year’s shortlist is among the most diverse in the programme’s history, spanning documentary and fine art, drone photography and handmade printmaking, short film and long-exposure landscape: united by a commitment to stories capturing life on a changing planet.

A judging panel of experts from the fields of photography, film, geography and the environment selected the Earth Photo 2026 shortlist, of 160 images and films by 33 photographers and filmmakers from around the world.

Some of the images convey landscapes haunted by ICE detention centres to industrial food production, the healing power of rivers in Eryri and melting Arctic coastlines in Northern Canada.

Coleton Fishacre is one of a number of National Trust properties and Forestry England sites to display the shortlisted artworks, presented in collaboration with the Royal Geographical Society, on a national tour.

It’s not the only photographic exhibition at Coleton Fishacre this year.

Celebrating 100 years since the house was built and the family moved in, the team have delved into the archives and displayed photographs documenting the building of the house and landscaping of the garden from start to finish.

Visitors can explore the pop-up exhibition and take a peek into the past at previously unseen archive images, highlighting a snapshot of life in the 20's and a glimpse of the family who created it.

Coleton Fishacre is open daily from 10.30am to 5pm.
