Townsfolk of Dartmouth gathered for an Advent Christmas lunch at St Clement’s Church, generously donated and cooked for them by a local business.
They were served a full Christmas dinner, with all the trimmings, followed by a prize raffle. Seated around the church’s Christmas tree they all enjoyed catching up with friends and neighbours and spreading some Christmas cheer.
Charlie Deuchar and his team from Bayard’s Cove Inn donated and served the food.
Rev Dr Andrew Langley said: “Everyone had a wonderful time at the Advent lunch. Huge thanks to Charlie Deuchar and his team, who not only donated their time but also served us a wonderfully delicious festive lunch. It was exceptionally generous. The extent of their hospitality was inspiring for us as a church community.”
Proceeds from the lunch will go towards setting up the new ‘Clement’s Coffee’ at St Clement’s Church which, Rev Langley said, he hopes will open in the New Year.
