Eight kittens have been stolen after being advertised for sale and the owner is warning people about buying kittens that could be stolen.

The owner, who lives in the Kingsbridge area but would like to remain anonymous, said: “Sadly, eight of our kittens were stolen following re-advertisement in the Gazette on Friday, July 14, from our hay store, overnight from Sunday to Monday, July 16-17. They are eight pretty and friendly nine-week old kittens.

“Five are tabbies, two black ones, one with a spec of white under its chin and a beautiful black and white kitten.

“The kittens were well loved and handled by our children and our now greatly missed. The Police and vets in the area have been informed and photos are circulating. If you are looking to home kittens in the area, please be aware they could possibly be stolen.

“Our sincere apologies go out to those of you who had reserved some of these lovely little cats and are subsequently disappointed.”
