Four suspects have been released after a man in his 50s was stabbed in Ivybridge.

Officers were called to St John’s Road at 10.30am on Wednesday, September 11.

Police say the victim suffered several deep wounds to his legs, body and arms.

He was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.

A 43-year-old man, a 49-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, from Camborne, Cornwall, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary on Friday.

While a 33-year-old woman, also from Camborne, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Police said two men, aged 49 and 33 and a 33-year-old woman have now been released on bail until Tuesday, October 8.

While a 43-year-old man was released under investigation pending further inquiries.

Officers are continuing to appeal to the public for information.

DS Andy Penhaligon, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: “The investigation is in an early stage and we are currently trying to establish the circumstances of this incident.
