Dartmouth Golf Club

Ladies’ section

Tuesday saw nine regular ladies battle it out on the course for the Eclipse Trophy. This is 18 holes played on the championship course and nine on the Dartmouth course. With the weather being hot and sunny, and a strong southwesterly, it was no mean feat.

The overall winner for the 2016 Eclipse was Chris Mayer (22) of Stoke Fleming. She managed to stay on form to narrowly beat Tina Scanlan (13) by one.

The ladies who play golf on the Dartmouth course played their August stableford alongside the Holden Cup. The winner of the stableford was Roz Forde (35) with 38 points, while the Holden Cup, for players 26-36 handicap, was won by Trudy Knight (29) with 35 points.

All the ladies celebrated afterwards with sandwiches

and drinks courtesy of their captain.
