Winners of the Dartmouth Rotary Young Chef competed at the area finals.

Ellie Cobain and Shania Noon, winner and runner up at the Dartmouth heats of the Rotary Young Chef Competition at the Food Festival in October, competed at the Area Finals at South Devon College on Wednesday, November 15. There were eleven students competing in the finals.

Alan Depledge speaking for the Rotary Club of Dartmouth said: “It was hugely competitive. Despite both girls cooking super looking meals with three courses, they were unlucky to not get through.

“However, it was a great experience for them as they were cooking in a professional quality kitchen and it was hot!

“A huge ’well done’ to them and also to Jenny and Phillip from Dartmouth Academy for helping us organise everything.”
