We lead on news that Dartmouth and District Chamber of Trade’s three directors quit in January – leaving the limited company with no directors.

Chairman Dave Cawley says the chamber will carry on without limited status... but it appears not to have informed its members, or held a special meeting or annual general meeting to put the proposal to them.

Mr Cawley explains how this has come about and insists the chamber is still operational, despite appearing not to have had a members' meeting since last June, plus we have reaction from former chamber chairman Paul Reach.

Elsewhere, we report the latest in the on-going saga over the closure of Dartmouth and Kingswear Hospital; the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta committee has given an insight into what to expect at this year’s event; and we have reports and pictures of royal wedding celebrations across the South Hams last weekend.

As ever, there’s much, much more news inside – plus a bumper selection of letters, on two pages – up from the usual one.
