This free festival includes musical acts sited all over Dartmouth, from the main stage in Royal Avenue Gardens, to churches, restaurants, and hotels.

It will include over 100 performances at more than 20 venues in Dartmouth.

All tastes are catered for from, jazz to blues to dance, choral and big band.

The Band of HM Royal Marines, Plymouth will be making a special appearance at this, the 20th anniversary of the festival.

The Royal Marines band is based in Plymouth at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint, Cornwall. It undertakes a wide variety of ceremonial work of national importance, as well as fulfilling its main role of providing music for the ships and establishments of the RN.

Val Depledge, DMF Publicity, said “To experience a traditional Military Concert Band playing a varied and stirring programme, together with the spectacularly talented Corps of Drums which is famed throughout the world and concluding with the emotional and memorable Sunset Ceremony is definitely a not-to-be-missed experience.

The festival is also running free workshops. Everyone is welcome and the sessions are on a first come, first served basis.

The Dart Music Festival is a not-for-profit organisation, and looks to support young musicians through its Dart Music Foundation. The ethos of the festival remains embedded at its heart: Music for All.
