Last weekend saw a bumper crop of donations from children who wanted to give back to their RNLI volunteers.

As is the annual tradition Salcombe RNLI were visited by their lifeboat supporters George and Toby Morrell, Mungo Winkworth and friends Alice and Phoebe.

Whilst on holiday in Salcombe, they had a fun and very successful afternoon selling candles, cards, cakes and Devonshire scones to raise funds in support of the Salcombe RNLI lifeboats.

And raise funds they did, on a sunny August morning they arrived at the lifeboat station to present £634.50 to Coxswain Chris Winzar and Lifeboat Operations Manager Andrew Arthur.

On the same weekend brother and sister master bakers, Arthur, age 7, and his sister Arabella, aged 4, baked RNLI themed cakes and then sold them in the sunshine on Island Street, Salcombe.

The duo raised £55.80 which was also donated to the Salcombe RNLI.
