Annette Elliott, of School Close, Stoke Fleming, writes:
In response to Gilly Ridout's letter, I have to say that I too was disappointed to read that Sainsbury's in Dartmouth was not supporting the foodbank appeal, as on many occasions the store has actively supported local fundraising.
Upon discussing this with a very helpful woman at the store, I found out that the organisers of the charity foodbank had been offered the opportunity to go into the store to promote their cause.
I suggest Ms Ridout goes into the store to have it explained to her fully by the store manager.
I would also like to ask Ms Ridout if she will be boycotting the other stores in town who are not offering any support?
Surely some support is better than none at all?
