David and Elaine Wallis, of Huntstrom Road, Calgary, writes: Just a few words to say how saddened Elaine and I are to learn of my old school teachers death, Mr Jack Cutters. In the 50s, it wasn't the 'thing' to be friendly with teachers, but Jack was an exception, you could approch him and know you would get a 'sympathitic ear' to any problems you might have. It took me years after leaving school not to still refer to him as 'Sir.' Finally, I did. He was really pleased. My wife and I will miss seeing and having a coffee with him on our visits to Dartmouth. Sincere condolances to Connie and family.
