This week will lead on a story about food hygiene across the South Hams.
According to the Food Standards Agency, the district council sent out more than 200 warning letters to businesses, demanding improvements to their hygiene standards.
We list those businesses in our circulation area who failed to meet level 3, ’generally satisfactory’ in the nationally recognised standards, including those recommended to make urgent or major improvements.
Our main picture shows restaurateur Mitch Tonks being thanked after making a donation of £4,500 from his restaurant and customers to the Dart RNLI.
We flag up a story about protests over housing plans which some residents say with increase traffic congestion and spoil views across the harbour.
Inside, there is much, much more news, including about the ongoing protests over the closure of Dartmouth and Kingswear Hospital.
As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.
Remember if you can’t get to the shops, or you have moved out of the area, you can get all South Hams Newspapers online here: http://www.southhams-today.co.uk/subscribe.cfm.
