COVID rates are on the rise in the South Hams
The latest statistics show an 18.2% rise in the number of cases in the week to October 10 compared with the previous week.
The figures show there were 43 new cases which is 317.2 cases per 100,000 people.
The number is lower than the UK average of 388 per 100,000 and much lower than Devon as a whole at 403.
In the Devon County Council area, which includes the South Hams, 84% of people aged 12 and above have had their first vaccine with 79% having received both doses.
In the wider county 78 people were hospitalised for COVID as of October 5 and 15 more people had died within 28 days of receiving a positive COVID test across the county.
