Guides went to a club to raise money for the elderly.

Guides from 1st Dartmouth Guides went to an event at the Conservative Club, as part of their Community Action Award badge. They raised funds to buy gifts for older people who would be on their own at Christmas.

The guides attended Mary’s Christmas Lunch and Bingo at the Conservative Club and handed out their gifts to thirty deserving local residents.

A spokesman for the guides said: “1st Dartmouth Guides would like to thank all the local businesses who kindly donated prizes to their bingo and for everyone who attended when a total of £926 was raised.

The guides are also going to donate some of the funds raised to another charity of their choosing, but as yet, they have not decided which charity this will be.”
