I would have grumbled at having to leave my boat for the air displays, as it is in the exclusion zone, but I would have gone because, even if they are not my favorite bit of the reggata, I know that there are others who expect it and love it and it is the main source of revenue for the rest of festivities

I also know that the air displays are a year in the planning and they are planed right down to the very last detail during what is a lot of hard work by a few for literally tens of thousands.

What is more we all of us need to accept that there will be danger in many things and it is not always possible to legislate away the dangers just because something, even if it were tragic, has happened.

Perhaps a disclaimer of waver could be put in place and signed and then we could all except the risk and merely just get on with it.
