There were many stalls, including lots of lovely crafts for sale, made by Dartmouth Academy Primary Phase.
Dartmouth Fire Station, Dartmouth Police and Dart RNLI were there. The children were particularly keen to be shown the police car by the popular, PCSO Shaun Barker and were happy to pretend to drive or act the villain in the rear seats. They also loved the opportunity of using the fire engine’s hose to squirt water.
The fete raised an impressive £419.21 which will go towards the second phase of the playground equipment.
A spokesman for the Academy Friends said: “If you feel you would be able to support the wonderful work of the Academy Friends team or you have experience in arranging charity events that you would be willing to share, the team would love to hear from you.
“Academy Friends have meetings every other Wednesday, please feel free to pop along if you would like to see what it’s all about, have a coffee and a chat. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 13th at 10:30am.”
