ANTHONY TAYLOR, of Victoria Road, Dartmouth, writes:

I am sorry that Simon Howes and other local residents are being inconvenienced by the re routing of the X93 from Victoria Road, Dartmouth.

As the owner of a property in the road that has twice been crashed into by buses coming down the hill on the wrong side of the road, causing structural damage, I do not think privacy is the issue, just an ongoing fear of further damage to my property.

On the first occasion the bus company vehemently denied causing the damage, even with eyewitness statements, resulting in my having to claim through my house insurance.

Our situation might be helped if the overhanging property signs which are currently placed on the walls coming up the hill were attached to a stanchion so they were visible to drivers of high-sided vehicles

I hope the decision stands after the trial six months.
