After last night’s official opening ceremony, Dartmouth regatta was really rocking.
Regatta Rocks attracted a large number of revellers, intent on having a great time.
Bands playing included the Land of the Giants, The Four Fighters and the Kast Off Kinks.
Plymouth-based Land of the Giants have been gaining an increasing local following. Their foot stomping music is played with great enthusiasm and verve. The Four Fighters were formed in 2003 by four experienced musicians who had a passion for the music of the legendary Foo Fighters. Now recognised as the ultimate Foo Fighters tribute band they have played the length and breadth of the UK and Europe.
The Kast Off Kinks are composed of members of the legendary Kinks including founder member and drummer Mick Avory. Formed by Mick in 1994, together with Jim Rodford, Ian Gibbons and John Dalton, they were joined by singer and guitarist Dave Clarke and since then have kept the iconic music of the Kinks alive and well. The Kast Off Kinks have a very busy touring schedule but jumped at the chance to play at Regatta Rock.
