Dartmouth Academy old girl wins anthropology prize every year for three years and graduates with first class honours.

Ellie Glanvill, who attended primary school at St John the Baptist and Dartmouth Academy 6th form, graduated from the University of Roehampton this summer.

Her mother, Andora Glanvill, said: “She has always studied hard and as a result, we attended a fabulous ceremony on London’s South Bank. Ellie was awarded a Batchelor of Science, First class with honours.

“She won the anthropology prize, top student of the year, for each year of her 3-year course. She is now starting her masters in paleoanthropology at Durham University. After being awarded a partial scholarship from Durham.

“Very generous assistance has been given by Dartmouth’s St Petrox Trust helping Ellie with her traveling costs. Ellie also received funds for her reading list from Party in the Park, a local organization helping young people in the area organized by Dart RNLI crew.

“Ellie has grown up in Dartmouth and participated in many local events and organizations including completing the Ten Tors.

“One of her aims is to be a lecturer in paleoanthropology at the Natural History Museum in London.

We are a very proud family here in Dartmouth.“
