A 48-year-old man was arrested by police after he was allegedly found sleeping in a couple's bed at their Townstal home last Tuesday.

The couple came back to their home at around 8.30pm to find the man of no fixed abode in their bed.

The husband claimed he was assaulted as he tried to get the man – who it is alleged had wet the bed in his sleep – to leave.

He managed to contain the man until police arrived – within 10 minutes – and arrested him. He was later charged with common assault and burglary.
