R E ANSTEY, of Dartmouth, writes:

Why must Johnathan Hawkins continue to persuade us that we must accept changes to our town when it doesn't make any sense. With their latest plan he knows and we know it's a clear matter of DCC abusing their powers.

But like a lapdog he insists on pushing forward their views, would someone please tell me who he represents? Certainly not us! When in fear of pay and display meters being installed in Dartmouth we were told by him 'It's too late to stop meters being installed', thank goodness no one accepted his 'advice'.

Now he is at it again, DCC latest plan is for a public consultation process – what a lot of silly talk.

Who is he to judge which areas are totally acceptable to be taken away from Dartmouth residents? Such arrogance! He doesn't reside in Dartmouth, neither does he have a business in the town, so he would not understand what it is like to find a parking space after a long hard day at work, or coming back to Dartmouth after a long distance drive in pursuit of business.

Do not forget who voted you into your present position and please do not backslide on us when we need a strong voice at DCC.
