The Stanborough Chorus has a well-deserved reputation for fine choral singing in Kingsbridge and district.

However, having said that, it is going through a crisis at the moment because we are running out of tenor voices.

A choral group is nothing without a strong tenor section and we could fast be approaching that moment.

May I appeal to your women readers. Yes, the women!

You wives, partners and mothers know if your men folk can sing or not and if you think they have a voice – and we're not looking for Pavorottis –  would you please despatch them off to the chorus rehearsal that takes place every Monday at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church, Fore Street, Kingsbridge. We are overflowing with lovely women's voices but there is a dearth of male voices.
