REV ROY C ALLISON and FRANCES M ALLISON, of Dittisham, Dartmouth, write: As a contribution to the debate about the development of wind turbines, we thought it would be appropriate to make known the lack of response we have received from Fine Energy, which has proposed the turbine at Downtown Park Farm, to our letter of enquiry. We wrote: 'What are the results of the study we presume you must have undertaken into the impact on the quality of life in the area? We presume this will include a detailed analysis of: the economic effects on local tourism; the effect of the turning blades on the wildlife, eg birds flying across from Slapton Ley; and the health effect on local residents, eg from the noise that will be a particular irritant in this extremely quiet area.' The fact that we did not receive a reply to our enquiry suggests to us that Fine Energy has no acceptable answer to these concerns.
