Nearly 2 years ago I wrote about a musical, 'The Prodigals-A Man Had Two Sons', having its hour-long premiere at the Edinburgh Festival. It was co-written by Ray Goudie who, with his wife Nancy, leads New Generation Ministries, the organisation which created the event at the beginning of 1997 at Fusion Night Club, Kingsbridge, which was the forerunner of the monthly 'Spiritulized' event which started a year later.

The full length theatre version of The Prodigals is now being premiered at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre from Friday, August 30, to Saturday, September 14, http://www.theprodigalsmusical.com">www.theprodigalsmusical.com. This contemporary interpretation of Jesus' parable has the father and sons serving in the army in Afghanistan and the younger son leaving the army to become a pop star. The role of the father is now played by Simon Bowman, a previous lead in The Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and other leading shows.
