One of our customers was called last week by a man calling himself ’Ben’ from South Hams Newspapers.

Churchstow Clutch and MOT Centre were called at around 7.30pm from a withheld number to ask, following their recent advert with us, whether they would be interested in taking part in an MOT promotion this week.

Apparently the call came from a mobile, as the line was crackling, but the number was withheld.

A representative of the garage said: "They said it would be £22+VAT but because it was late, he needed the money now. I told him I wasn’t going to give my card details to someone who called me, and he said he would call me from the office in the morning, but I never heard back from him."
