Dartmouth police are continuing with operation Reindeer to crack down on shoplifting, burglaries, drugs and car crime and they say it is producing results.

Sgt Simons said: “The couple arrested in Dartmouth for stealing £1,000 of goods from Boots, were both sentenced to six months imprisonment. Jennifer Beamand, 29 and Lee Perry, 42, both from Wolverhampton, were also wanted by Dyfed-Powis police for theft from Boots in Welshpool. Lee Perry has been in prison and has on his record 160 previous theft related crimes.

“We did manage to recover goods from another shoplift following our last shoplifting arrests. I chased a young suspect who dropped what had been stolen, some £85 worth of cosmetics also stolen from Boots. I didn’t catch him but at least the goods were recovered.”
