A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the South Hams.

Police say the pedestrian, in his 20s, was struck on Station Road on Thursday night.

He was taken to Derriford Hospital with minor injuries.

Officers closed the road to carry out investigation work and asked drivers to avoid the area.

No one was arrested as a result.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Station Road in Totnes on Thursday, October 17.

“A man in his 20s was taken to Derriford Hospital with injuries not described as life-threatening or changing.

“No arrests have been made and no crime has been recorded.”
