A MAN who admitted assaulting a woman has been given a restraining order and told he must undertake 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.

Jason David Beard, 35, of Orchard Park, The Level, Dittisham, admitted assaulting Angela Jones in Dartmouth on August 16, when he appeared at Torquay Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The terms of the restraining order are that Beard must not go to an address in Orchard Park, Dittisham, during the next 12 months.

Beard was also ordered to pay £85 costs plus an £85 victim surcharge.

No compensation order was made.
