The lifeboat was called out by the Coastguard following reports of a motorcraft stuck in mud in Old Mill Creek, Dartmouth.
Dartmouth fire crews also attended.
A spokesman for the fire service said: ’The fire service were called to reports of four persons that were stuck on a vessel. Fire control mobilised appliances from Dartmouth, Brixham and the specialist rescue team from Camels Head.
’Upon arrival, crews liaised with Coastguard, RNLI and police on scene, who confirmed that four persons were stuck on a motorcraft. Crews got to work with two inflatable mud mats to assist with the rescue of the four persons from the boat.
’Shortly before 10pm crews confirmed all persons were rescued from the boat and on dry land.’
