Two fire engines from Dartmouth responded to a call of a fire on South Ford Road, Dartmouth, on Sunday.

They received a call at 8pm to say a washing machine was on fire in a ground floor flat in South Ford Road. When they arrived, the crew confirmed a fire in the washing machine and made the scene safe with small tools and a thermal imaging camera.

The crew left the scene at 8.46pm.
