The RNLI visitor centre on the South Embankment Dartmouth has suffered a water leak from the flat above.
Dartmouth’s new Mayor, Richard Cooke, was on the ball and sent to the Chronicle a photograph of the notice in the window, which announced that the centre will be shut until further notice.
Dart RNLI confirmed this on their Facebook site with a reassuring message:
“Fortunately, all the RNLI teddies and dollies managed to climb aboard the demonstration D Class lifeboat and were taken safely back to the life boat station for a teddy bears picnic.”
