John Hart and Terry Wallis of Dartmouth Amateur Athletics Club took part in the North Devon Coastal Marathon last weekend, starting from the picturesque town of Woolacombe.

Nick and Terry described the race as a 'relatively easy first half but a gruelling third quarter towards Ilfracombe and back to Woolacombe.'

The weather was apparently 'perfect for runners, overcast, cool and with very little head wind'.

At the time of going to press official chip times had yet to be published, but unofficial times were 4:11:53 for John and 5:08:52 for Terry.
